The waves in the Mediterranean, due to such a small fetch are mostly generated from swell. A few miles south of La Zenia and the Mar Menor barely registers a ripple. During the summer too, the water is often glass-like. That is perfect for Stand-up Paddle boarding, safe for families, good for fishing but far from perfect for surfers.
If you surf, and you like warn sunny days, plus waves that do not break too hard, get over to the Costa Blanca to try it out.
